CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. The Sindoi. Circa 400 BC. Diobol (Silver, 14 mm, 1.32 g, 9 h), Gorgippia (?). Griffin seated right; to right, barley grain. Rev. ΣΙΝΔΩΝ Head of a horse to right; all within shallow incuse square. HGC 7, 3. MacDonald 83. SNG BM Black Sea -. SNG Stancomb -. Very rare. Lightly toned and a very attractive type. Very minor porosity and with light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
